The North West London Health & Social Care Skills Academy is proud to support our local communities to access and progress into roles in the NHS and social care. We are working with the Greater London Authority (GLA) and delivering the ‘good work for all’ ambition which forms part of the London Mayoral Academies Programmes. Our aim is to raise awareness of NHS and Social Care roles across North West London, create employment opportunities and pathways with our employer partners, develop and design training and skills programmes with education and training providers. We are working collaboratively to achieve our goals and ambitions with key stakeholders, which are focusing particularly on supporting those hardest hit by the impact of the pandemic, and tackling the underrepresentation of various groups across North West London.

The British Association for Supported Employment (BASE) is a membership charity that represents a diverse range of organisations who are committed to embedding an inclusive recruitment approach within the workplace. Our members utilise the evidenced-based Supported Employment Model to support, disabled, neurodivergent and disadvantaged people into good careers. Key to this model is a removal of barriers approach to recruitment which creates wider societal benefits and impact beyond the employer and jobseeker. The supported employment model is an evidence-based framework which identifies the most 'natural' ways to support people into employment, working in partnership with the jobseeker and employer.
